                       Josef Albers Research

         Art research can be interesting depending on what artist people want to show and provide the details. One artist who shows more interest is Josef Albers, and the reason is because he has more experience in art than anyone and demonstrates his technique of art. Most people mention that Josef Albers is an artist who knows more about color and brings something to the art. Also, there was research provided about Josef Albers, where the community college taught me how to use the library website to check about any artists and see what they do with their work. Since mostly this can be a good help for anything. There will be an explanation of how the research is done, taking two articles about Josef Albers and one about his color technique. 

      The research experience brought something that showed me an idea of anything to write about, and I also used whatever artist came to my mind and found articles. There is a reason why I chose Josef Albers, and the reason why is because I made a presentation about him. Since Josef Albers is the master of color and also Color theory. Also, Color theory gives me more interest to do and provide since doing color theory is a good technique that I show with different colors. However, the HCCC library helped me do the research and show what other library websites to use. This enabled me to search about Josef Albers and see what else he did to show what artist he is since different names know him. But also reveals more about his history and his explanation of his art and himself. 
         

    "Design Research Pioneer Josef Albers: A Case of Design Research" by Mike Zender explains how he does his design. There were details about him doing it with the scientific method and explaining his origins. This article does show how Josef Albers uses his art with science, which focuses on color since Josef Albers needed to see how the study is provided with the color. For example: How can the colors be turned into a hue? A statement is supplied about Albers's research in color: "Albers's opposition to theory may be partly a matter of semantics. What Albers called Color theory we would call today color system". And "These operational principles, or this theory, of color interaction could be used to make engaging color relationships in color compositions, which was what Albers did in his work." This also shows that Albers used to do the drawings to see how his study needed to offer and find the color for the picture. Also, doing color relationships improves how the color can be shown in the art and the better type of art after his scientific research about the colors. Albers decided to test the paints out, show that different colors come out, and show the textures in the color that give something new for the colors and tested out in Yale University to the students about his experiment with colors. 
           "Recollections of Josef Albers" by Rob Roy Kelly explains his design and teaching origins. In this article, one student talks about Josef Albers as a professor, mostly talking about how his class was. Also, Albers was arrogant and more aware of his critiques. There is a statement about what the artist provided about how Albers Critique is: "When critiquing painting students, it was customary for Albers to ask the student what they were trying to do. If the student responded in terms of color, space, or form, Albers engaged in meaningful discussion with the student. If the student responded in terms of feelings or some esoteric rationale, Albers would throw up his arms and, in a loud voice, exclaim, "Gotten Himmel! Don't show me your intestines". With his color experiment going on, he wanted to try this experiment in his painting class. He mostly wants to let students try the investigation, which is color theory, and see how the saturation and color relationship work. But sometimes, Albers is trying to tell the students how the art works for them, and what he is doing is trying to convey something about the art. 
              Josef Albers seems like an exciting artist, but he also brought something new to art, which people can use for anything: color theory. There can be reasons why his critiques were challenging, but it's for people to understand his art. This shows what a professor he is and brings the color theory to see since people can learn new things in the art. This depends on his experiment and see if this is related to science since this is different from art. Most importantly, Albers is a master of Color Theory and published books about his color and his test with his new technique of Hue and Saturation. But Albers is essential for art because he provided and published his art to the world and the audience.
